Mr Anselm Carr-Jones

Music Teacher
BA (Hons), PGCE
Mr. Carr-Jones is in his fourth year of teaching having trained via the Teach First programme, which puts graduates into schools in the UK in challenging circumstances. Additionally, he developed his practice for a year by teaching primary music in the UK; he is looking forward to combining these experiences in his dual role at both the Insein and Min Dhama campi. Mr. Carr-Jones also has significant experience as a professional singer, having been a Lay-Vicar – an archaic term for singer – in several cathedral choirs in the UK, including Westminster Cathedral, where he sang as a chorister under Martin Baker and James O’Donnell. He has also had roles in various semi-professional opera productions. In his spare time, Mr. Carr-Jones enjoys reading, travelling, singing, coffee, and is an avid fan of his local football club (who are finally in the Premier League!).
