Wellness Week at BSY

The purpose of Wellness Week at BSY is to teach the children how to take good care of their bodies and their minds. Each day of the week had a different focus from nutrition to exercise to mindfulness. We had a number of specialists come in to school to work with the children, such as a meditation teacher, a yoga teacher and a cycle safety specialist. The children were also given a 'Wellness Diary' in which they recorded the ways they helped themselves stay healthy throughout the week and then reflected on the positive impact of the actions they took on their wellbeing and happiness.
